Community platforms help people connect

Traditional social network services are based on family, friends and brands. But I rarely put my life on social platforms. Because you need always to show your best moment to your friends and family, but your real world is a disaster. So there are different types of social network services based on the community, there are strangers with the same interests, and people have the bravery to express themselves more freely and honestly when there is a distance between them and the other person in our online interactions.

As an introvert, I am not good at expressing my emotions, but I always want to have deep connections with others. A community platform is good for me to connect with people. For example, on Reddit, one of my favourite community platforms, there are tons of different topics and categories to read, and always new stuff coming out. It’s an excellent way to keep up with the news and meet individuals who share your interests, opinions, and backgrounds. It operates similarly to a newspaper, but it is owned by users, who are free to express their views; most importantly, you can freely join any community with no restrictions.

A learning community is defined as a group of individuals who gather irregularly to work together on schoolwork and who have similar academic aspirations and attitudes. Such communities have evolved into the model for an interdisciplinary, cohort-based approach to higher education. If you are learning software or technique, you can join the learning community and ask questions; you can share your learning experience and communicate your ideas to others immediately. In addition, the Learning community encourages the exchange of ideas between learners so that they understand that more efficient of the learning community is better than studying alone.

To sum up, a community-based platform helps people gather together all around the world; there is no geographic or physical distance to membership, and they have the opportunity to share their real life and challenges, sometimes you don’t want to share with their friends and family, and the community will offer feedback and advice. I feel at ease in this space, and so will you if you are an introvert.
