Cooperation will be a topic of discussion during this process. Working together for a common goal or completing a task as a group is how I define cooperation. Working together is a skill that must be learned in CDM.
Group tasks make up the majority of our assignments. We all worked together on one topic or project. We discussed the requirements, the goals to be achieved, and how to achieve them, and we divided the work among us to complete it on time and with high quality. We got some understanding of teamwork and hands-on experience working as a team while cooperating and cultivating a teamwork attitude.
For example, I am glad that I have met a group of people whom each have their areas of expertise. Hence, working in a team is an excellent opportunity for everyone to learn from one another. If you still stick to your rigid boundaries and refuse to seek help from others, and cooperate with others to solve problems, the only one who will suffer is yourself. For example, you might be good in your field of work but need more information in another. You may excel just in one of the skills required. Others might be better prepared to handle the situation. Still, because of their limited sense of collaboration and their eagerness to take it on, they may expend much energy on results that still need to be improved or more significant. We have experienced numerous losses and challenges while enabling ourselves to appreciate the value of teamwork, perhaps because our cooperation needed to be stronger.
Teamwork will inevitably lead to conflict. Mistrust and unnatural meddling among team members are the leading causes of resistance. This mistrust and the meddling are amplified, particularly in trying times. Not to mention that our cultural backgrounds and countries of origin vary. As a result, creating a peaceful environment is crucial when working as a team. Blaming one another does nothing to help address the issue; on the contrary, it worsens it.
Finally, pre-MDM made me realize the importance of teamwork. I learned how to communicate and get along with my team members. I got much experience from it, so I reflected and changed myself to adapt to classroom life and my future work.
