We are addicted to cats, dogs, rabbits…Many of them bring a lesson to our lives. We watched them, observed them, and learned different aspects of life from them. The cabinet for us is just a place to store clothes, but for cats, that’s a warm and cozy place to hide. We don’t know what cats are thinking, but they provide a different view for us and will continue to refresh our perspective of life.
Yellow and White are sibling kittens I got from my mother. The first day they came in like an unexpected package. Their little heads were small with dirty hair, but they were healthy and active; they climbed up on my mother’s head and shouted up like they had conquered a mountain. The next day, they ran into every room and tried to search everything in sight. On the third day, we still had no idea how to name them and started to call them by their hair colour. Years later, they became precious family members to us. They are unique, clever, and irreplaceable cats.
Yellow loves to open food package boxes by himself, and White loves watching her brother. White loves climbing up the highest point and sometimes traps herself; Yellow always watches her closely and keeps her safe. They often help each other and create a perfect collaboration without anyone telling them how to do it. They never need to learn from others. They were born as a sibling and supported each other as family members.
“They are not there for us alone.” just like the New York Times reader said.
