Immersive technologies, such as virtual reality, blur the lines between the actual and virtual worlds, allowing users to feel completely immersed. Immersion is a sensory experience. Immersive technology enhances student learning, increases collaborative participation, and can propose engagement; as a response, students should incorporate such experiences into the educational process, if appropriate.
Considering situated experience is so crucial in the landscape architecture sector, and it necessitates increased three-dimensional spatial imagination, virtual reality technology for landscape architecture design has a number potential for expansion. Virtual reality technologies can enhance the sense of immersion. An article discusses improving the experience of the landscape learning process by carefully designing virtual reality learning materials and contents. These requirements are even more essential in unusual circumstances, like the COVID-19 pandemic, and virtual reality technology can fulfill them successfully. Students can perceive the details and overall picture of landscape design work or construction as if they were in person.
Landscape architecture industry
From the overall appearance of a city, squares, and parks to the intricacies of the living environment, such as the live environment and the block landscape, landscape design encompasses practically everything in outdoor design. It not only represents the unique variances in regional culture among modest cities but also highlights the aesthetic concept of space in an area. From the completion of the plan to the start of construction, the exhibition, and the explanation of the design work, the integration of virtual reality technology has provided numerous opportunities for landscape design. A virtual landscape site’s design field is consistently present throughout the entire urban environment, from macro to micro. Virtual reality technology promotes the new development of the landscape architecture industry. Inspired by this, I began to think about greater possibilities. As my family cannot travel due to the pandemic, I could use my skills to help them see things from a different point of view. If I could create a virtual scenery, such as a mountain landscape or a beach at sunset, I would enable people to experience something from the comfort of their homes. I hope to be able to use different atmospheres to express more perspectives.
