Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the fastest-selling Call of Duty ever and surpassed $800 million in its opening weekend, beating out the previous record holder of MW3 in 2011. What is Call of Duty? Call of Duty is an outstanding first-person shooter game franchise. The legend begins in 2003, the first Call of Duty. It was a new brand that sold 4.5 million copies, showing excellent quality and brand recognition. COD is my favourite FPS game. I have played every single one of the franchises, and in my opinion, Morden Warfare 2 (2009) is the best.

Meanwhile, the new reboot MW2 (2022) is just a little behind. Single-player/Story Mode There are no special ops in MW2(2022), which is disappointing. Special-ops are collections of mini-challenges alongside main stories but in the same storyline. For example, there is a scene that a plane has been hijacked by terrorists, which is a background story in the main level, which means the player has no control of that situation. But in special ops, you can play a special agent to save the people on the plane and compete with other players to see who finishes the challenge in a shorter time. The music is the other thing MW2 (2009) triumphs over the new one. The music in MW2 (2009) was created by Hans Zimmer, an award-winning world-famous composer. He composed for many movies, including Interstellar, Inception, Lion King, etc. Story-wise, in MW2 (2022), they have to follow the mainstream: political correctness, gender equality, and racial equality. These are all very laudable, but they put a strain on storytelling. However, MW2 (2022) takes advantage of newer technology and sophisticated gameplay design. It has better graphics, sound effects, and a smoother shooting experience. You may not know that CODs are famous for their well-designed multiplayer mode. The storyline is under 8 hours, but players spend thousands of hours on multiplayer. There is more to discuss in this area, like map/level design, weapon system design, and game mode design, but I cannot cover them all now. Please follow my entries if you want to know more. The last thing, do you like Call of Duty? Which one is your best choice? And if not, which is your favourite FPS game? Comment down below!
