Time is fleeting and our pre-mdm 2021 students are about to graduate. Before I came to Canada, I thought my Pre-MDM learning experience would be just as simple as improving my technical English skills, but just a few courses later I realized that pre-MDM would bring me more than that. This year, I have experienced several creative projects and learned the more professional approach of the team management, as well as a host of English technical and academic expressions. I got to be creative in writing with my freestyle journal entries and more formal and academic with my essays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I were to weigh up each point of the whole learning experience, I would say the most challenging part for me was the period I took the responsibility of being the scrum master for one of our project simulations. In the beginning, I had almost zero experience of UI and UX design, but our goal was set to <\/p>\n\n\n\n

design a mini app. Fortunately, I had a very professional team who always trusted me. Even though sometimes I would make mistakes out of sheer lack of experience, they were always supportive and shared their complementary skills. We all learned from one another a lot and I believed our final product would be perfect, which it was. Plus we had a super supportive instructional assistant, Simran who met with us weekly, and always provided us the best advice, and also the most committed teacher, Aida who would support our creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the long summer holiday, we will begin a more professionalized study in the MDM program. I\u2019m hoping I can continue to improve my professionalism and make more friends, from different backgrounds, and also gain more opportunities to lead a more diverse team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the person who is reading this article is a new student who is about to join the pre-MDM program, I would leave you with just a few pieces of advice from the perspective of a new graduate, that I believe may help you navigate the challenges of next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Firstly, don’t chase the deadline, always spread a heavy workload into daily tasks.<\/li>
  2. Second, always sign up for leadership opportunities, which would not only benefit your MDM study, but also your future career.<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
